In 2019, AVPN and GIIN collaborated with Oliver Wyman on a white paper, “Impact Investing in Asia: Overcoming Barriers to Scale”, to explore the identity and characteristics of impact investing across Asia. Drawing on insights from India as well as China, Indonesia, Japan and the Philippines, the paper outlines challenges faced by Asian impact investors as they seek to build awareness of the approach and align impact measurement and management practices. This is the first category of action of the GIIN Roadmap for the Future of Impact Investing which outlines actions to be taken over the coming years in building the impact investing ecosystem.
During this session, AVPN and GIIN will share insights from the report and updates since its launch. This will be followed by a breakout discussion about how impact measurement and management practices differ by asset class and sector.
