Social issues are complex and the sector continues to struggle to solve deep and multifarious issues at scale. Knowledge sharing spaces are limited, usually narrowly framed, supply led, one way, and bereft of specific action or commitments by key actors. At the same time, the promises of innovative thinking and technology provide opportunities to accelerate and scale social change.
In this session, the panelists will discuss Catalysing Social Impact, ideated as a forum – which is not a one-off or a number of disparate conference, but is rather a series of engagements over a few months where complex societal issues across themes are identified, solutions chalked and implemented. The forum employs the design of Solution Circles to discuss and enable action on identified issues.
- What are the key learnings from the Solution circle method to complex societal problems?
- Journey of four themes which drive the solution circles with a focus on 3 problems each (e.g. how to scale a well established pilot, how to use I/ML/blockchain for social good, how to change behaviour around early marriage, how to promote WaSH in healthcare facilities)
- A peek into issues that are headed towards a potential solutions including frameworks, approaches, information, perspectives, investments, etc.
