Jairaj Bhattacharya is the co-founder and CEO of ConveGenius, a social enterprise focussed on bridging learning gaps for the masses. The company is currently operating in India, Bangladesh and Indonesia impacting more than 600,000 children across ages 2 to 20 is one of the leading technology driven social enterprises in the country. ConveGenius has pioneered the concept of ‘Nudged learning’ a model which blends between teacher led and self-learning via the means of external triggers that influence behaviour to drive learning outcomes. Their nudged platform is being used currently in 16 states across India. ConveGenius was given the emerging social enterprise award in 2017, Best interactive solutions provider in the World education summit in 2017 and was also the winner of Young Entrepreneur Awards in 2016.
Jairaj is graduate from IIIT Hyderabad in Electronics and Computer Science, a Young India Fellow from Ashoka University and management from Chicago Booth School of Business. He worked as a Program Manager in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in collaboration with Rice University for 2 years before founding ConveGenius. He was also associated with NASA for a brief period after completing his graduation. Named as the Global Student Entrepreneur of the Year in 2014 from Singapore, Jairaj had sold his first venture in college to Cozy games UK and won the Undergraduate Research Award for contribution in research as an engineering undergraduate in IIIT Hyderabad.
